Deborah Scroggins is the Author of a radical new book that takes a look at women on the edge of  extremism called: Wanted Women: Faith Lies & The War on Terror. It’s the story of Two Muslim women who have become world famous for their diametrically opposed political views, the Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Pakistani Aafia Siddiqui offer a striking study in the tendentious issue of Islamic women’s right and the often-overlooked place of women in the Islamic jihad against Western secular liberalism.

Deborah Scroggins is an accomplished journalist with over twenty years of reporting experience. She is the author of Emma’s War, which was translated into ten languages and won the Ridenhour Prize for Truth-Telling. She has written for Vogue, Granta, the Nation, the Sunday Times Magazine, and other publications, and has won two Overseas Press Club awards, a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award as a foreign correspondent for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and was named Georgia Author of the Year by the Georgia Writer’s Association.
